All credits must be completed 60 days before your license expiration date. Check your transcript to view your current credit balance and how many credits are required for compliance.
License renewal is permitted only after the Compliance Period concludes, which is 60 days prior to license expiration.
Renewals must be processed online through the National Insurance Producer Registry.
After your renewal and payment are approved, you’ll be able to print your license online. Licenses will not be mailed.

- Attend a live class. Big I NH offers an in-person, week-long P&C pre-licensing review course every 6-8 weeks (link to calendar here). This comprehensive course covers all the information included in the exam outline with plenty of time for review and questions. Registration includes the course text and an exam simulator.
- Study independently. Big I NH has the following self-study materials available:

- P&C Licensing Review webinar series
- Take a virtual course. Big I NH offers access to ExamFX’s online Property & Casualty Pre-Licensing classes. You can choose between courses with and without live instruction, and all courses include a virtual textbook, videos, flashcards, and several simulated exams to assist in your studies.
What does the live class cover?
Our P&C Pre-Licensing Course reviews all the information included in PSI’s test content outline:
Day 1: Insurance Laws/Regulations, General Insurance Concepts, and P&C Specific Concepts
Day 2: Dwelling, Homeowners, & Personal Auto
Day 3: Other Personal Lines (Umbrella & Flood), Commercial Auto, General Liability, Commercial Property, Crime, and Commercial Inland Marine
Day 4: Equipment Breakdown, Farm, Businessowners, Workers Compensation, and
Other Commercial Lines (Umbrella, Ocean Marine, Bonds, Professional/Executive
Coverages, & Cyber Liability)
Day 5 is an optional review session, with time for students to ask questions before
taking an interactive, group review quiz. This is usually completed by 11am.
Can I take the live class online?
While the course can be taken virtually, it is highly recommended that you attend in
person. If you cannot do so, we ask that you fully participate in the course as much as
possible. There is a huge amount of information to go over, so active questioning and
interaction with other students is a vital part of learning the material.
How much does the live class cost?
The class is $350 for members and $450 for non-members. This includes the book and
an exam simulator for practice.
What is the exam simulator?
The exam simulator is an online program designed to assist you with your studies. The
program is published by ExamFX and contains both subject specific quizzes and
randomized practice exams. The cost is $50 for 60 days of access, which can be
extended for additional payment.
What is the Webinar Series?
The self-study webinar series is a recording of a previously held P&C Pre-Licensing
course. As such, the information presented is the same as the live course, and contains
interaction with both live and virtual students throughout the program. The cost is $350
for members and $450 for non-members; a textbook and exam simulator are included in
the cost.
Can I buy just the book/webinars/exam simulator/virtual course?

How do I register for my test?
All registrations must be processed through NH’s testing vendor, PSI: PSI Exams: NH Property & Casualty Producer Testing. You can register on their website or by calling PSI at 1-800-211-2754.
Which test should I register for?
Test #12-64: New Hampshire Property & Casualty Producer.
Where do I go to take the exam?
PSI has testing centers in Concord, Keene, Nashua, Newington, and Portsmouth. You can choose your preferred center when you register for the exam.
Can I take the exam at home?
PSI does allow for at-home testing with a live, virtual proctor. For more information about their requirements, please click here and scroll down to the section titled PSI Web Delivery – Remotely Proctored.
How much does the exam cost? Do I have to pay if I have to re-take the test?
The exam registration cost is $72, and must be paid each time you take the exam.

I’ve passed the exam! Now what?
Congratulations! You will need to apply for your new license on the National Insurance
Producer Registry’s website: Apply for a License. Please choose the Resident License
option and follow the prompts on the screen.
How long do I have to wait to apply for my license?
You can usually apply within 48 hours of taking the exam, but it may take up to a week
for your testing information to be sent to the National Producer Insurance Registry
(NIPR). If you are having problems with logging in after a week, please contact the
NIPR directly at 1-855-674-6477
How long will it take for my license to be issued?
It can take the NH Insurance Department 2-3 weeks to process your application and
issue a license.
The Insurance Department contacted me about my application. What do I do?
Do not ignore any request you may receive from the NH Insurance Department.
Their communication will contain instructions on how to respond to their request; please
get back to them as soon as possible with either the requested information or a request
for more time to respond. If you are unsure of what they are looking for, ask for
clarification.
