Last year’s event:

LeadHERship 2025 brought together women from across the insurance industry for a powerful day of inspiration, connection, and professional development.

The event began with a panel discussion on work/life balance featuring Lisa Kilbreth, Acadia Insurance; Alison Milioto, Blue Lion; and Leah Walsh, Liberty Mutual. Panelists shared personal insights and strategies for navigating the challenges of balancing career and personal life in a demanding industry.

Next, Brooke Liu, MarshBerry led a dynamic session on effective communication, offering actionable tools to help participants enhance clarity, confidence, and impact in their professional interactions.

The morning wrapped with a powerful discussion, My Path to the C-Suite, featuring Dottie Chalmers Cutter, Chalmers Insurance Group, and Deborah Wentworth, United Insurance. Both leaders shared honest reflections on their journeys to executive roles, offering guidance on overcoming obstacles, embracing leadership opportunities, and supporting other women along the way.

A deeply impactful moment came from Nicole Desilets-Bixler, Deputy Adjutant General of New Hampshire, who shared her personal story of growth, resilience, and leadership. Her message emphasized the importance of embracing opportunities—even when self-doubt creeps in—and believing in one’s potential, even when the path forward feels uncertain.

The highlight of the afternoon was an inspiring keynote from Sally Helgesen, premier expert on women’s leadership and best-selling author. Helgesen offered practical advice on building influence, avoiding self-limiting habits, and leading with authenticity in today’s evolving workplace. Event attendees went home with a copy of Helgesen’s book, How Women Rise.

LeadHERship 2025 concluded on a high note, leaving attendees energized, empowered, and equipped with new insights and connections to help them grow and lead in their careers.
